TIGER SAFARI TOURS TO KANHA

Central India Wildlife Circuit

The most popular combined packages with Kanha link it with Bandhavgarh and Pench national parks for an unbeatable tiger tracking tour in these most wonderful of central India’s reserves. These packages range from 6-13 days and generally do 2-3 nights at each park, ensuring numerous opportunities to safari in different environments. The Kanha – Bandhavgarh combination is especially a favourite, providing an interesting blend of experiences, with Kanha’s meadows, effective preservation of barasingha and the contrast of Bandhavgarh – the higher density of tigers within a backdrop of an old fort. All-inclusive packages cover accommodations, all meals, safari permits and inter-park transportation and run from ₹25,000 to ₹56,000.

Cultural And Spiritual Extensions

Most operators offer a mix of Kanha with the nearby spiritual and cultural destinations, especially at Amarkantak, the sacred origin of the Narmada. Such packages offer 2-3 days Amarkantak itinerary consisting of visit to ancient temples, waterfalls such as Kapil Dhara and Dughdhara and the majestic hill stations, and then you can head to Kanha for wildlife sighting. Some tours over extend to include Jabalpur’s Bhedaghat marble rocks and Dhuandhar waterfalls, forming comprehensive Madhya Pradesh cultural-wildlife fusions.

Extended Wildlife Expeditions

For more hardcore wildlife enthusiasts, operators have longer 12–16-day packages that take you across as many as five national parks including Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Tadoba and sometimes Panna or Satpura. These are comprehensive circuits that will enable you to view tigers in a variety of terrains, from Kanha’s grassy meadows to Tadoba’s dry deciduous woodlands and to Ken River at Panna. Expect to receive 2–3-day safaris in each park, professional naturalist guides and luxury accommodation all the way.

Adventure and Activity-Based Tours

Some niche operators have exclusive combination experiences that are being promoted such as bike tours linking Kanha with local attractions with village visits, pottery sessions, inner line fishing and riverside treks all combined together. These “adventure packages” are designed for travellers who are independently exploring a country, looking for a cultural experience combined with a bit of wildlife, camping out and sleeping in some interesting homes along the way!

Seasonal Specializations

Operators create packages, based on the season, with a view to maximise the prospect of wildlife sighting: summer (March to June) packages concentrate on highest probability of seeing tigers seeking out water sources, and winter (November to February) packages focus on ideal weather and post monsoon greenery. During monsoon breaks, they offer cultural-based alternatives to regional temples, tribal markets and handicraft centers.

Luxury Circuit Options

Luxury operators offer all-inclusive luxury circuits with personal cars, such as properties from Taj Safari, gourmet dining options, and private safaris. Frequently, these packages have domestic flights connecting these points to minimize travel time and maximize the experience of wildlife.

Family And Photography Tours

Family packages focus especially on families with children, and include children-friendly activities, shorter driving distances, and an educational element, while the photography safaris come with a professional guide to help you catch the best photographs, and the benefit of staying for more in the safari (which will ensure you to catch that amazing photo!).
